Buddying Support Worker


Job description

Make a real difference as a SNAP Buddy! Support a child or young person to enjoy fun activities and clubs they might otherwise struggle to access. From bowling and swimming to youth groups and days out, you’ll help build confidence, independence, and happy memories. Full training is provided, and every session is rewarding and fun.


Experience with learning disabilities is welcome but not essential — full training and ongoing support will be provided. This is predominantly a relationship-based role, but some personal care support may be required.


Initially sessions will be shadowed by an experienced member of the team.


Positions are subject to satisfactory DBS check and references.


Job Types:

Part-time, Zero hours contract


Pay:  up to £12.60 per hour, depending on experience.

SNAP Play Worker


Job description

Our SNAP (Special Needs Activities and Play) clubs are looking for people to support children and young people at our various clubs. We aim to provide stimulating play opportunities and good quality childcare, tailored to meet the needs of children and young a  dults with special needs.

We run ongoing Saturday clubs during school term-time in both Hemel Hempstead and St Albans, as well as running Playschemes during the Easter, Christmas, Summer, and half term school holidays.


All staff are provided with training opportunities to enable us to provide a high standard service. Some of our training opportunities include: Safeguarding, Paediatric First Aid, Epilepsy Awareness and Seizure Response, and Moving & Handling. Our roles willgive you the chance to enjoy a variety of challenging and rewarding experiences.   


We also have opportunities for staff to progress to Play Leading positions for those interested in leadership and management.
