Meet one of our members - Finding friendship and routine at Trinity

For one of our members, who prefers to stay anonymous, Trinity Community Project has become an important part of weekly life.

They’ve been attending for the past four years — but things looked very different before that.

“Life was a bit lonely, isolated and there was no real routine.”

After hearing about Trinity through a referral and local advertising, they decided to give it a try — and it’s made a real difference.

Finding Connection

Now, coming to Trinity is something they genuinely look forward to.

“It’s the company, getting outside, meeting people and being social.”

From chatting with friends to spending time with volunteers and staff, Trinity offers a chance to connect with a wide range of people in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Music is a particular highlight — and like many of our members, it’s often the simple moments that matter most.

Moments That Matter

One standout memory?

“The Christmas party with the kids’ choir — and winning the hamper in the raffle!”

It’s these shared experiences that help build confidence, friendships and a sense of belonging.

A Positive Impact

Since joining Trinity, the impact has been clear.

“It makes me feel appreciated, supported and encouraged.”

It has also helped bring a new perspective:

“It makes you see the whole picture — how other people manage and support themselves.”

Having a regular place to go, people to see, and activities to enjoy has created a positive routine and something to look forward to each week.

Looking Ahead

There’s still plenty to look forward to.

“I’d like to try a walking group, and it would be great to do more at Trinity, perhaps watching a film, and maybe a fish and chips supper one day!”

In Their Words

If they had to describe Trinity in just one word?

“Uplifting.”

And for anyone thinking about coming along:

“It’s worthwhile — you can be an individual and part of a team.”
