Corporate Partnerships

Let's make a difference together

We believe that amazing things happen when communities and businesses come together — and we’d love your company to be part of that journey.

Partnering with us as a corporate supporter is a fantastic way to give back to your local community, support a cause that truly matters, and enjoy some brilliant benefits along the way. Whether you’re a small business or a large organisation, there are so many ways to get involved, and every bit of support makes a big difference.

Why become a corporate partner?

As a Corporate Partner, your business will play an important role in helping us raise vital funds and awareness. And in return, we’ll work with you to create a partnership that’s meaningful, rewarding and fun for everyone involved.

Here are just some of the ways your company can get involved:

Sponsorship opportunities

Help bring our events and initiatives to life, while shining a light on your support for the local community.

Team challenges and events

From fun runs to bake-offs, get your staff involved in memorable fundraising activities.

Gifts in kind

Donate products, services or resources that help us do more with what we have.

Charity of the year

If your company chooses St Albans Mencap as its Charity of the Year, our Fundraisers have plenty of ideas to inspire your employees to raise money to help local people with learning disability while raising your company's profit and gaining positive publicity.

Volunteering

Give your team the chance to roll up their sleeves and make a difference, whether through hands-on help or skills-based volunteering.

Pro bono or discounted services

If your company can offer professional support (like marketing, legal, design or tech expertise), we’d be so grateful.

Payroll Giving and Match Funding

Payroll Giving (also known as Give As You Earn or workplace giving) is a tax efficient scheme that allows an employee to make regular donations to St Albans Mencap directly from their salary. The donation is taken out before tax, which means a monthly donation of £10 will only cost the employee £8 (for basic rate tax payers).

Payroll Giving is one of the easiest and most flexible methods of giving to charity. It is straightforward to set up and is a low-cost initiative to operate. Your payroll department will process the payroll deductions and send all donations to your Payroll Giving Agency, which is regulated by HM Revenue & Customs – examples include Charities Aid Foundation and Charities Trust.

‘Match funding’ means that an employer matches an employee’s donation to charity either partially or pound for pound. Companies can also choose to match fund the sponsorship raised by members of their staff if they take part in sponsored events like marathons.

Become a Corporate Friend

Join us as a Corporate Friend and we’ll proudly promote your business through our website, social media, and community events – highlighting your generosity and commitment to giving back.

Other ways

Display a collection tin or some of our leaflets in your reception area.

Run fundraising events such as dress-down days or cake sales.

Offering discounts to our beneficiaries for your services could increase your sales or client base.

A heartfelt thank you

We genuinely couldn’t do what we do without the kindness and support of the businesses that stand alongside us. Your involvement helps us reach more people, run more activities, and bring more hope to those who need it most.

Every partnership is special to us – and we’d be delighted to welcome you on board.
