Learning Disability Week 2025:
Do you see me?
Posted Monday 16th June 2025
It’s Learning Disability Week 2025, and this year’s theme — Do You See Me? — is all about visibility, representation, and challenging the stereotypes people with a learning disability still face.
At St Albans Mencap, we’re proud to stand alongside Royal Mencap and organisations across the UK to shine a light on the lives, voices, and achievements of children and adults with learning disabilities.
The campaign is about breaking down stereotypes, improving visibility, and making sure that people with a learning disability are truly seen, heard, and valued.
At St Albans Mencap, our work is built around recognising and celebrating the individuality of everyone. We see the joy, creativity, and resilience of people with learning disabilities every day — and we believe the wider world should too.
How you can get involved:
- Talking to friends and family about what it means to truly see someone with a learning disability
- Sharing the campaign on social media using hashtags like #DoYouSeeMe and #LearningDisabilityWeek2025

We're proud to be part of the Mencap family and even prouder of the amazing St Albans Mencap community who make our work possible.
Together, let’s build a more inclusive world — where every person with a learning disability is seen, valued, and celebrated.
