Daisy Cooper visits
Trinity Community Project

We were delighted to welcome Daisy Cooper MP to the Trinity Community Project on Thursday 9 July, where she spent the morning meeting our members, volunteers and staff.
Rather than making speeches, Daisy sat down with members to hear directly about the issues that matter most in their daily lives. The conversation covered a wide range of topics including changes to Personal Independence Payment (PIP), access to GP surgeries, local bus services, supermarket trolleys, post offices and other everyday challenges that can make a real difference to people with learning disabilities and their families.
Our members spoke openly about their experiences, sharing both the frustrations they face and the positive changes they would like to see. It was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to have their voices heard.
After her visit, Daisy said:

Hearing first-hand about the issues that affect people's daily lives is incredibly valuable, and I look forward to continuing to champion our community."
The visit was enjoyed by everyone, with plenty of lively discussion, laughter and cups of tea along the way. We are grateful to Daisy for taking the time to listen to our members and learn more about the work Trinity Community Project does to support adults with learning disabilities.
