 SNAP Summer 2025 Survey Results

Posted Wednesday 24th September 2025

At SNAP, we believe the best way to understand what’s working well is to ask the children themselves! During our Summer Playscheme 2025, 20 children took part in a short, fun survey to share what they enjoy most about SNAP — and what could be improved.

Enjoyment and Experience

Every single child who answered the survey said they enjoy coming to SNAP. That’s a 100% enjoyment rate!

Our play leaders reported that most children were so busy having fun that it was tricky to get them to pause and fill in the survey — which is a great sign of how much they love being here.

Favourite Activities

Children were invited to tick all the activities they enjoy. The most popular choices were:

  • 🛝 Playground – 15 children
  • 🍽️ Lunch – 12
  • 👩‍🍳 Cooking – 12
  • 🎨 Art – 8
  • 🧸 Playing with toys – 6
  • 🎶 Music – 7
  • 💬 Circle Time – 6
  • 📚 Reading – 4
  • 🏃 Hall / Gym – 8 combined
  • ❤️ Adults and friends – 10 each

The Playground came out as the clear favourite overall, with Cooking and Lunch also among the most loved activities. Children said they enjoy spending time with friends and the adults who support them.

Things They Don’t Like

Very few children listed any dislikes — most left this question blank.
A few mentioned:

  • Reading (4)
  • Cooking (4)
  • Circle Time (2)
  • Messy Play (2)
  • Hall (3)

This shows that dislikes are minimal, and activities are generally well received by all.

Favourite Things to Do

When asked for their number one favourite activity, the top answers were:

  • Playground (6)
  • Lunch (3)
  • Cooking (1)
  • “I don’t know” (7)

So, the Playground again took the top spot — confirming how important outdoor play and physical activity are to our children’s enjoyment.

What the Play Leaders Said

“The children were having so much fun it was hard to get them to stop and do the survey — they just wanted to keep playing!”

“Next time, we might try a mix of methods, including letting families complete it together, so we capture even more feedback.”

What We Learned

  • Enjoyment is universal – every child enjoys SNAP.
  • Playground, Cooking, and Lunch are the most valued experiences.
  • Dislikes are rare, showing the variety of activities meets most children’s needs.

In future, we may try new ways to gather feedback — such as at-home surveys with parents or tallying favourite activities during the day — to make it even easier for children to share their views.
