Examples include cookery, trampolining, cinema, drama, seaside visits and research projects.
Each session is generally has a maximum of 10 clients enabling the staff time for each individual client to enable recognition of each individual. Members are actively encouraged to help pre organize activities using their own ideas and experiences. Pick and Mix also provides an excellent opportunity to make new friendship groups.
The group is currently running Monday – Saturday on a weekly basis for periods of 12 weeks.
A separate summer recreation scheme runs for young adults between the ages of 14-21 as a transitional group between a children’s scheme and Pick and Mix.
A scheme which provides adults with varying levels of learning and physical disabilities with a selection of social and recreational activities from which to choose.
